A New Paradigm in Wealth Management
I have over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, and founded Paradigm: Strategies in Wealth Management, LLC (previously Asset Strategy Consultants) in 1995. We chose the name Paradigm for the firm because we believed a new paradigm was needed in the financial services industry. We wanted to create a new paradigm based on the values of trust, accountability and transparency. We feel that’s what is missing in the financial world today. We have raised the bar, and we want our name to reflect that.
Supporting Clients Through Wealth Management
I enjoy using my wealth management knowledge to provide clients with insight, clarity, and a special partnership. The most rewarding part of my work is helping others reach their goals and have a successful retirement. I get to inspire clients to do the things that help them make substantial, lasting, positive improvements in their financial lives. My goal is to develop long-term relationships with clients and their families. I am proud that I am often asked to work with the grown children of my clients who are beginning their own professional careers.
Focus on Physicians and Entrepreneurs
I have particular expertise working with physicians, dentists, and entrepreneurs, helping them not only achieve financial success but devising creative strategies to preserve the wealth they have worked so hard to build for themselves and their families. These clients are often so focused on their business or practice that they may not give their personal finances the proper attention. Medical schools don’t teach finance. I meet a lot of doctors who are extremely busy practicing medicine, but they have no plan for Financial Independence. Many financially successful families have a desire to leave a legacy, but don’t really understand how to go about planning for that legacy. We become their personal chief financial officer, get things back on track, and keep things on track.
Get to Know Bill
A Twin Cities native, I hold a BA from St. Olaf College, where I majored in Biology and Philosophy, a B.A. in Chemistry from the University of Minnesota, and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas. I am a former gymnast and a high school state champion. I began my nearly 20 years of gymnastics coaching during college, when I served as the coach of the Northfield girls’ high school team. After college, I coached boys at the club level where I developed numerous Junior National Team members and several who went on to become Senior National Team members, many who went on to compete at the College level, and even one who went on to compete in three Olympics.
My wife Jeanne and I live on a small farm northwest of Princeton, Minnesota with 6 horses, one geriatric dog and two barn cats. In my spare time, I am fanatical about working out and staying active. I also enjoy reading, fly-fishing, and riding horses.
